"So I met Ivey and Jen at one of the first open houses that I did at 1012 Valewood Rd.
The weekend of June 7.

Jen brought back members of her family, including her mom and dad to take a look at it in subsequent open houses that I worked there.

I remember Jen specifically saying that we were not planning to move for 3 to 5 years but we saw that this house came available and they had to check it out.

They had recently became a married couple about a year prior to this, and Jen was living with Ivey in his family home on Lackawanna Avenue in Parkville. It was a Cape Cod design and it suited their needs, but space was still at a premium meaning they needed more in addition they absolutely loved the neighborhood of Hampton Gardens Off of Providence Road and all of the extra space the attached two car Garage. And the woodsy yard and neighborhood.

We agreed to explore the possibility of making this happen, and I met them at their home in Parkville to discuss getting them on the market and the strategy session.

They prepared their home for market beautifully, and I was blown away by how they were able to organize everything and declutter so quickly.

We set up our open house schedule of Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

On the third day, we received an offer from one of Ivey‘s coworkers Michael. Whenever people purchase or sell a home, they inevitably tell people that they work with. At least the ones that they are close with and sometimes everyone because it’s an exciting time.

Well, Michael decided to come to the open house with his girlfriend, and he been in an offer and Ivey accepted it.

It was a full price offer with good terms. And we were able to make both settlements coincide on the same day so that the seller of the house that they were purchasing would be satisfied that they were under contract on their home and they would all settle on the same day.

We certainly navigated a few twists and turns, including appraisal, Home Inspection and a miscue or two.
But the fact is, we were able to work it all out in order to keep marching towards the settlement date .

I was so honored to see them get their key and kiss each other in the closing room. It was so touching and I know they will make amazing memories as they take a house and make it home for years to come."
